“a persistent belief in closing the performance gap between strategy and implementation.” |
I have 20 years experience of identifying, developing and managing new and innovation projects within corporate and startups.
At Reuters I created a management system to uncover, unleash and manage innovation internationally throughout the business. My career at Reuters culminated in a role as CEO of an Asian-based Internet trading corporate spin-out in Singapore which I took through initial VC funding and on to a trade sale.
I co-authored ‘Inventuring – Why big companies must think small’ (McGraw Hill, Mar 2003) to crystallise my experience of how over 200 companies manage innovation and corporate venturing from a practitioners perspective.
Since Reuters I have been involved with a number of companies including as founder at The Working Knowledge Group (www.twkg.net) which focuses on training young people to become more employable, Investing for Good (www.investingforgood.co.uk) which advises on social investing, Interstate Associates (www.interstateteam.com) a leading brand and design service and Cambridge Marketing Colleges (www.marketingcollege.com) the leading private provider of CIM qualifications.
I have a BSc in Engineering and an MBA from the University of London and am a Chartered Marketer.

“calming the seas when things get rough” |
Before joining Applied Knowledge, I started, managed and sold a business with my husband. This really opened my eyes to the challenge and gave me a keen understanding of small business processes and the importance of good organisation. At Applied Knowledge I run the day-to-day administration functions including office management, processing invoices, managing payroll, procurement alongside a wide range of other administrative activities.

“always challenging delegates to go to the next level and achieve their true potential” |
I draw on my extensive business acumen and acting experiences to train and facilitate a wide range of activities for Applied Knowledge including assisting businesses to create robust and implementable strategies using my extensive one-to-one coaching abilities.
I started my business career at Olivetti in sales and progressed to becoming Divisional Manager for Printers and Reprographics. My responsibilities ranged from sales, marketing, purchasing and staff management and development.
I then moved to Tokyo where I lived and worked for five years developing my training, acting and directing skills. I then moved to Manhattan where I stayed for a further seven years. I studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and delivered a range of training courses and workshops for the corporate sector.
I returned to London in 2002 and continued my work both as a well known actor and as an exciting, innovative and exceptional business trainer.
